Bob Poffenbarger, Senior Associate
Bob served for 28 years as an Indiana superintendent, retiring in June of 2005 to become Senior Associate for From LtoJ Consulting Group, Inc. Inviting him to assist your school or school district will prove to be invaluable.
In 2000, Bob began his journey to become an expert in continuous improvement in the classroom and school district. He studied, learned and led. His school district is one of the very few in the US where teachers and administrators alike can frequently monitor learning progress and adjust instruction accordingly. He will bring examples of measuring student learning “real-time”. For example if 45% of the year has transpired, he knows exactly where at least 45% of the content is in students’ long-term memory. Lee Jenkins consulted in his district one week in the fall and one week in the spring over five years. Bob attended 100% of the sessions and has become an expert.
The story continues even further. Not content to have the very best in instruction only, Bob pursued excellence in personnel practices. His qualifications to provide personnel improvement to US and Canadian systems are impressive. He met Dr. Vic Cottrell and studied dominate theme patterns of excellence for teachers, administrators, and support staff. All applicants in his district became candidates for employment based upon a hiring sequence prescribed by Ventures for Excellence.
Communication to build a culture of trust, respect, cooperation and growth became his next priority. He is certified by Mary Jo McGrath to teach SUCCEED – a process that puts legally fit and ethical principles to work to develop people and to impact their performance.

Debi Molina-Walters
Lee Jenkins and Debi met when Lee was her school superintendent. Debi attended his overview of the From LtoJ® process and was hooked. She quickly became an expert admired by administrators and teachers alike.
Debi, known by many as “Mo,” is literally one in a 1000 among teachers. Personnel directors say things like: "She is the best teacher I have ever interviewed in 20 years." Her video-taped interview is used by Bob Poffenbarger and others as example of “near perfect.” This is what a teacher looks like who is batting almost 1.000; hire as close to this as you can.
Dr. Mo is now at Arizona State University as a professor for the next generation of teachers. She is every bit as good with teachers and future teachers as she was with her students. She is not only an expert with From LtoJ®, but instructional strategies, classroom procedures, and team building.
Debbie can be reached at Mo@LtoJConsulting.com.
Lloyd and Caroline Roettger
Both Lloyd and Caroline became experts in the From LtoJ® process while in Oklahoma City : Caroline as an administrator with Oklahoma City schools and Lloyd as a professor with the University of Central Oklahoma . Caroline was the first LtoJ® expert with extensive urban experience and Lloyd was the first university professor to prove the From LtoJ® process works with graduate students. They are now both professors in the Department of Educational Leadership at the University of Toledo, Ohio.
In October, Lee visited the schools in Miami , Arizona where Lloyd and Caroline are working each month with their administrators and teachers. The proof of their expertise comes from (1) interviewing teachers, administrators and students, plus (2) the state assessment results. All four schools are now off the underperforming lists and one school even moved from the lowest possible category to the highest possible. This was after one year of work. Year two is even better.
In addition to their work with From LtoJ® they are very knowledgeable in curriculum development, alignment and delivery; supervision and leadership, and establishing positive learning climates. They work in school districts both separately and together.
